The Lagos state Government in a commitment to boosting entertainment and tourism in the state, has arranged yet another grand fiesta in a fashionable way this year 2019.
and lots of others as they will be performing.
The commissioner for tourism, culture and art Mrs Shulamite Olufunke Adebolu, stated that this year’s Fiesta Will help Nigerian celebrities to uncover talent that can make them celebrated stars all over the country.
The Event is usually celebrated annually with the aim of showcasing the States reach culture, talents, and promoting it’s economy.
The commissioner stated that “this year’s Lagos Fiesta is more than just a show, it is all encompassing”.
Furthermore she narrated that “It is of greater importance to understand and nurture the talents we have in Lagos State.
The Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration realises that there is need for a platform for our talents to thrive. Acknowledging the fact that many international Grammy award winning Artists are home based.
She said “This year we have ejected add-on’s to the formula on ground whereby Lagos will in fact identify talents, nurture and grow the talents to become future stars.
This year’s show will hold from 25th to 31st of December, 2019 and every family is expected to come in fall.
She explained that the show is to hold on five different locations where there will be two final winners to contest at the grand finale, the two final contestants will emerge from the five locations.
She confirmed “Across the five Ibile Zones – the locations where these events will be holding, there will be competition such as talent hunt”. As there will emerge two last contestants that will contest at the grand finale.
The venue of the grand finale will be at Eko Atlantic City. We will ensure that by 2021, the artists will be performing as big shots in the country.
“The aim is to engross Lagos people with the culture, talent and diversity of Lagos.
Lagos State is diverse and we need an avenue to showcase it. Mr. Governor is offering it this year, taking the greater Lagos platform to the next level.”
Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, the commissioner of information and strategy assured people that security shouldn’t be a problem and lagosians have nothing to fear will attending the event.
He said entertainment is the big game changer in the growth of the State’s economy.
He reaffirmed that the show is going to be like never before as it was well planned, he also stated that other new up and coming artists also have the opportunity of becoming stars.
He noted; artists like Niniola, Olamide, Patoranking, Zlatan and Naira Marley, will be performing at the event.
